‘Italy has done a lot — maybe too much’

I just read the article ‘Italy has done a lot — maybe too much’ written by Lally Weymouth and published on “The Washington Post” and this is what i think about:
Salvini is the end of Europe. He acts as if he is on Putin’s payroll. I am happy if US and Russia gain a better reciprocal understanding but supporting Putin and beating on Europe is the wrong thing to do right now. Trump is doing as much damage as he can. I can hardly see all of this would be in the interest of the US. The America empire is being ripped apart before our eyes. And it’s not a military defeat, just as the collapse of the Soviet Union was not a military defeat. It is an economic and spiritual defeat.
